car runs like crap S80 2010

Hi,

Thanks for sharing your friends story.
Ouch on that being a bad booster though.
Was that a power brake booster?
If it is, that’s a ridiculous price for just the part.
There is no excuse for it. A brake booster is so common because they are put on millions of other cars.
There’s the Bendix Corporation being the most common world wide.
I think they were the original designer from about the beginning of boosted brakes.

So now we are talking about billions of them.
The patent hold is gone so that means even more price dropping units are there to be competitive.
This makes me so curious to just how many ways can you make one piece of equipment, that does the exact same job, differently and actually sell it as SO … unique?

Yep, he should be upset with that car, let alone any repair shop thieves.
I believe we both know he is getting the hosed, if you know what I mean.

I hope he doesn’t fall for that repair, as it really hurts all of us consumers.

If and when I catch Scott Kilmer’s channel on YouTube he has made remarks about certain cars made today that are nothing more than “money pits.” I guess he will have to add in the newer Volvos to that list, if it wasn’t already on it.
Some people say that Fishing Boats are a hole in the water to throw money into.

I gather that the latest Volvos 21st century renditions, of electric only vehicles, are suggesting that their heads are in the wrong places already.

My concern is where are electric cars going to be over hyped into an extortion game exploitation.
Consumers had better take their blinders off very quickly!
Electric cars will have hundreds of less parts and VACUUM maintenance issues.

Phil
