Carpet shampoo? It will help lift the gasoline coating. If the gasoline got under the carpet to the waterproof floor liner, you may want to remove the one piece carpet and wash the liner with soap/water/damp rag. With the carpet out, you could subject it to lots of soapy water and thorough rinse with water - let it air dry.

The coins you find are yours to keep.
