That's it Klaus!
If I can remove the trim under the headlight maybe there's room for
4-6 1 watt LEDs (in separate sockets) that put out plenty of light.
The other bonus is that since they don't draw huge current I could have
maybe 4 lights on each side for a total of 8 watts that would easily run
off the ACC circuit without a relay.

How Does that trim come off, and since I don't use the headlight washers, I could remove that stuff and put DRLs just under the headlights where they would be
highly visible.
