Check out this Volvo part number: 9131998-8. I'm 95% sure this is the heater control valve kit to install the newer style valve in an older 240.

Also, I'm sure there's a TSB (technical service bulletin) on this; if you want it, I could dig through my files at home, but there are probably other sources for it. I think it was about 3-4 years ago. Your local friendly Volvo dealer might be some help.

Regarding the price, I quoted something like $75. However, I paid under $50 and so suggest you shop around. There are plenty of discounts from advertisers in Rolling.
