I sent an email to 'hanchung@gte.net' yesterday, is this the right address?
Here's the email again in case anybody else in interested: Total install time about 20 minutes.

I have an Alpine S601 with a Blitzsafe adapter. The new alpine changers use a digital protocol so the adapters are more expensive. My blitzsafe says it can make an alpine 5960,600,601,and 604 work with a volvo 96-98 sc700,710,810,815,and 816. The blitzsafe was $90. I know they make 850 specific adapters without the digital protocol stuff that go for oly $20-$30 for hooking into older alpine 5950s.

I had a local stereo shop called Earmark (in the Dallas, Texas area) install an Alpine CHA-S604 changer in my wife's 1995 854 with the 710 radio. There is a switch on the changer itself which switches it back and forth between the older style bus and the newer AI bus. They used an adapter and a special cable but the two only cost about $40 altogether. The changer works and sounds great. --
