V70 T-5 Purchase/Phoenix AZ[ALL/1998] posted by Dave Lundeen on

I am interested in buying a V70 T-5. Presently I am living in Rochester, NY but will be moving to Phoenix, AZ in a few months to live permanently. Does anyone have any information about Volvo dealers in the metropolitan Phoenix area? If so, and you have dealt with them, please let me know how you were treated and what sort of "deals" if any they gave you.

I am very much in love with the T-5, even without ever driving one!! I have one concern, I am 6'7" tall and am a bit worried about how comfortable I would be. (I am mostly legs, 38 inch inseam).

Also, does Volvo make any exceptions on car color? I vaguely remember seeing a commercial some odd years ago with a yellow 850. A yellow T-5 in the valley of the sun would kick you know what!!

One last request... Anyone who has bought the T-5 (V70 or S70) please let me know how you like it.

The yellow car you saw was an 850 T5-R model which was last made in the 1995 model year. It was replaced in '96 with the R model which also came in 2 colors, but replaced the yellow with a bright red. I do not believe yellow is currently available in any of the T5 lineage models.

Regarding the colors available with the 850-R models, according to some 850 literature I picked up at Scandia Volvo yesterday, the R is available only in White, Black, and Bright Red. Apparently all standard colors are available with the T-5.
