distributor locations 900 1993

Dear jd620,

Hope you're well. Yes! Yes. The block-mounted distributor is Volvo #1367468. It was made by Bosch (# 0237 523 003). The Cap is Volvo #243797. The distributor rotor is Volvo #1389425.

The distributor may still be available from a Volvo dealer. In the US, the cost will be about $600. FCP Groton has re-built units (A1-Cardone) for about $100. Volvo VADIS and the Volvo pcoket data booklet: Cars (700,850,900) 1991-95 show this distributor as being installed on 940s with Rex-Regina, in 1993. For the Cap and Rotor, see: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-distributor-240-244-245-1389425#fitment .

In short, you can get an A-1 Cardone re-built distributor, a cap and rotor from www.fcpgroton.com. For a car that has 248K miles, I'd get all three. Once these distributors go "NLA" (no longer available), a distributor failure ends your car's service life.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

Spook
