Identification of a 1965 P1800S engine 1800 1965

Hello,

I currently have a 1965 P1800S, but I can not identify the engine.

On the engine, there is a big number "49680" and a smaller number next to "2".

The engine is a B18.

Can you help me ?

Thank you,

It is going to be either a B18B or a B18D.

I can't remember where, but you can send in your VIN to someone at Volvo and for a fee they will research your car and tell you what engine was originally installed.

Based on the chassis number and type, the original engine should be a 108 SAE B18B (496812).

The number 496802 corresponds to a B18D of 90 SAE originally on a Volvo 120.

Is it possible that there was a motor replacement?
