Rear washer check valve location 900

Hi all,

Does anyone know where the check valve for the rear washer is on a '95 945? And how do I access it? I've lifted up the floor panel on the driver's side, and I think I can see where the hose goes over the wheel well and then through a hole in the side panel of the trunk area. But wher's the check valve?

Thanks,
Jesse

    Dear Jesse,

Hope you're well. Yes! The check valve is found behind the color-matched (e.g., beige, gray, etc.) plastic panel on the right (passenger) side of the hatch opening, adjacent to the gas strut. Once you remove the panel - pry GENTLY - you'll need to "feel around" to find the valve.

The check valve is adhered to the metalwork with black butyl rubber. There's just enough "slack" in the hose to free the valve. Using some salvage yard window-washer hose, I've added a section, so I can more easily replace the valve.

    Hope this helps.

    Yours faithfully,

    Spook
