<title>[RWD] [200] [1985] Look &#x27;ma! no lights. -posted by- Jonny Memphis</title>
<description>
So, I got my brick running again. What I thought was an ignition problem turned out to be a slipped timing belt.

Anyway, everything was working for a blissful day and a half; but after that my lo-beams, parking lights, fog lights and dash lights all went out. I&#x27;ve been all through the kick panels and console looking for a bad relay (&#x22;main light relay&#x22;?) but haven&#x27;t found a bad one and I&#x27;m not sure what I&#x27;m looking for or where to find it. Does anyone know where it is or what could be the problem?</description>

<title>[RWD] [200] [1985] No spark. Tried everything... What am I missing? -posted by- Jonny Memphis</title>
<description>
So, one day I was getting ready for the morning commute when my 1985 245 DL died suddenly at the edge of the parking lot. I pushed it back into a spot and it hasn&#x27;t moved since. That was a few months ago. There&#x27;s no spark from the coil--due to the fact, I believe, that there is no pulse coming from the ICU.

I checked the voltages at the coil. B+ on both low-tension leads while the key is in the ON position.

I checked the voltages at the hall sensor: 12V 5V 0V.

I simulated the function of the hall sensor by briefly jumpering the 5V and 0V leads.

I checked for power and ground at the ICU connector.

I cleaned and ensured a proper fit for the ICU connector.

I replaced the ICU.

In all cases, there was no pulse at the coil and no spark.

Is there some component in this circuit that I&#x27;m missing? I&#x27;ve heard talk of a &#x27;breaker unit&#x27; (whatever that is) feeding a pin on the ICU but I have no idea what it does or where it is on the car. I really don&#x27;t know what else to try.

<title>[RWD] [200] [1985] New tires - Front or Rear? -posted by- Jonny Memphis</title>
<description>I will be keeping one as a spare spare, as my

current spare has never touched the road.

I&#x27;m planning on using 185/75R14&#x27;s, because

that&#x27;s what I&#x27;ve already got on the other wheels.

<title>[RWD] [200] [1985] New tires - Front or Rear? -posted by- Jonny Memphis</title>
<description>
Greetings fellow bricksters.
I was just about to replace two of the tires on my wagon with brand new units,
and I got to wondering which axle would make the best use of them.

The two old tires that will be left on the wagon are still in fairly good condition.
I&#x27;m leaning toward the front, on the basis that steering is of primary importance.

What do you all think?

<title>[RWD] [200] [1989] 240 Heat shield rattle -posted by- Jonny Memphis</title>
<description>
I just ripped mine out, along with the whole cold start/warm up system.
(Those air box thermostats are known to fail open and fry the AMM)
If your climate will permit it, I suggest that you simply do the same.
