<title>[AWD] [V70] [2001] Ambient Temperature sensor/indicator is off(higher) by 2-3 degrees -posted by- 67122</title>
<description>I&#x27;m sure mine is off by a few too. On hot humid days, mine shows 100 sometimes when it&#x27;s only really 85, or 90. Plus, mine is in the front bumper, so it must sense some engine heat too. It doesn&#x27;t take wind, humidity, etc into account. So it might feel colder outside with wind blowing.. it actually isn&#x27;t. Not really worth a few hundred.

<description>When you turn left, is the sound coming from the right? Vice versa?
If so, you might just be better off putting 2 new front axles in. I got it done on my V70 for only $200 for both sides.

<description>As far as I know, 2002+ S80s are okay. Unless its a T6, then you might expect a trans failure.
Do the have any 03 2.9s?

<title>[AWD] XC90 years/types to avoid? -posted by- 67122</title>
<description>Avoid ANYTHING T6. Transmission problems. Stay away from 03-04.

2006 is good, I&#x27;ve read actual consumer reviews. If you don&#x27;t need AWD, I would get the 2.5T FWD.
Better gas mileage, AWD is a bit problematic and complicated.

<title>[AWD] [S80] [2002] no reverse -posted by- 67122</title>
<description>Actually, a lot of S80s have trans failure. Reason is, Volvo calls the fluid &#x22;lifetime fluid&#x22; but it is not true at all. The fluid gets very old and gunky with age. It eventually prevents the trans from performing well.
Give this a try first.
First off, when you put it in reverse, does it say R on the dashboard? If not, you could have a linkage problem. You could try giggling it and seeing if the R appears.

If thats not your problem, I suggest you flush the trans and change the filter. You can DIY or have Volvo do it.

Heres a guide:
http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&#x26;t=20278&#x26;sid=c5c5e825420b2721a05477a47e08aeee

Good luck. And use Dextron III or equivalent fluid.

<title>[RWD] [444-544] How to hook coil up -posted by- 67122</title>
<description>I bought a new coil, and it is a bit different than the older coil.
Sounds stupid, but how do I hook it up? I know how to put the wire from the distributor on.

But what do I put on the top of the coil where it says + and -?
I think the condenser wire goes on one side, but what about the other?
My original only has one screw like thing. Not 2 like this one.
(not the coil exactly, looks similar.)

<title>[RWD] [444-544] [1956] 444 no spark? -posted by- 67122</title>
<description>Hi all,
Yesterday I pulled one wire out and held it close to the tip of the plug, and cranked it. I saw no spark, maybe I&#x27;m doing it wrong? (I saw a spark when I did it to my 67 122).

Haven&#x27;t tested the coil, don&#x27;t have a volt-meter, and didn&#x27;t check compression (the Advance didn&#x27;t rent them out.)

I&#x27;d love to hear all opinions! Thanks guys. I&#x27;m really looking forward to getting the car on the road!

<title>[RWD] [444-544] [1956] Noticed something.. problem? -posted by- 67122</title>
<description>I just remembered this. When I was putting new plugs, wires, cap, etc. I noticed that the notch on the cap that was already on wasn&#x27;t over the condenser.

In other words, the cap was turned, about 90 degrees. And when I put my new cap in, I did it just like that. I didn&#x27;t want to mess anything up. I put wires in the same spots as the old cap.

Can this be a problem? What do I do about this?

<title>[RWD] [444-544] [1956] Advice on where to start -posted by- 67122</title>
<description>Thanks guys, will do. I think I might be going to the car this weekend. I&#x27;ll try some stuff. Plugs are new. So are wires, and rotor, and cap. Didn&#x27;t replace the points, even though I really should, but don&#x27;t know how to. When I tried about a month ago, It has all new tune-up stuff but just kept crankin&#x27;!

I could just get a thick pair of gloves, and my rubber handled pliers and pull the wire off while cranking to see if there&#x27;s a spark, right?
I&#x27;ve done that in the old 122 I had.

I&#x27;m posting on here because my emails keep failing. If you&#x27;d like to send pictures, you can email me at jbrown122@gmail.com

<title>[AWD] [S80] [1999] S80 - Slipping Transmission -posted by- 67122</title>
<description>Even though this is a suckish transmission, there are some things you can do to help it live longer. Like flushing the fluid and changing the filter every 30k. Volvo says the fluid is lifetime but that is a big joke.

Also, I&#x27;ve heard the dipstick markings are wrong, and that the FULL mark is lower than it should be, but that could just be a rumor!

<description>Hey, congrats!
that&#x27;s great! Can&#x27;t wait to see the pictures.
I just bought a 56 444 in June, but it doesn&#x27;t run! Its been upgraded to a B18 and 12V system. But besides that, and the grille, the rest of the car is original.
