<title>[RWD] [120-130] Volvo Picture 123gt info, anyone know more info? 120-130 -posted by- EEV474</title>
<description>I don&#x27;t get on to Brickboard that often but 122power wanted to know some info on a 123GT chassis 274623 that&#x27;s on the net in a couple of places. I do have a few other shots of this car. It ran in the 1998 Targa Tasmania. I am not sure of the wheels or tyres used and no there is no mudflaps on the car. I have a rear shot of it. 122s have been running in Targa since 1992 not only this and Andy White&#x27;s factory rally car. The driver of the above 122 was Mike Batten who now races a red PV544. He only used the 123GT for that one year from memory, it actually belongs to a friend of his. I have the full history of the car. Does that answer all your questions? I did get an email from you after Chris gave you my email address but replying to your address had some security issues.?! Couldn&#x27;t get through.

<description>Thanks Dale, looks like you&#x27;re going to have your hands full for a while.

I have just added one of the rare coloured 123GTs that are a Metallic Blue with code 53-102 to the register. Here

<description>Dale, That&#x27;s not it. I think that&#x27;s the B18 cast number. The engine number is stamped (not standing proud) on a flat surface. It should be 4 figures.

<description>Thanks for that Dale. I have added the information. The engine most probably is B18B,496860, and then the engine number. Much appreciated. Photo(s) when you&#x27;re ready.

<title>[RWD] [120-130] Have I gone Crazy? There was a 123GT on eBay last night -posted by- EEV474</title>
<description>It would be very hard to fake a 123GT. Besides all the differences and extras (that are very hard to find, while some are impossible to find) to a 123GT, the type number, year letter and chassis numbers (i.e. 133351 or 133352Pxxxxxx is punched into the body of the car just above the heater. The ID plate can be replaced (again, where would you get one from since those cars are very rare) but you would have to punch the number on the body too. This is the first item to look at when you are inspecting a car that might be a GT. Hope this helps.

The said car is now on the 123GT register.

<description>The thermostat I&#x27;m referring to is the HEATER thermostat.

What threw me off is that the pipe coming from the water pump must belong to a 120 or 1800 since it has a right angle kink in it. I will have to change that. And it would still be a bit of a squeeze.

Too many cars! Too many spares!

<title>[RWD] [140-160] [1970] 142S Heater Hoses -posted by- EEV474</title>
<description>Just putting a 1970 142S back together and need help re heater hose routing. I know that the bottom heater outlet goes to the thermostat. Can someone please have a look at their car and tell me where the upper heater outlet hose goes to. It can either go to the right angled pipe out of the rear of the head or to the pipe coming from the side of the water pump. Much appreciated.

Wish I had another car to compare to.

<title>[RWD] [120-130] Even more 123GT identification info -posted by- EEV474</title>
<description>Dale,

That sounds like a Canadian built 1967 &#x27;M&#x27; 123 but it should have read 133951 not 2 at the end meaning left hand drive. I can&#x27;t see a Canadian built 123 in RHD? Please check on that. And yes Canadian built GTs did have a LSD denoted by the &#x27;S&#x27; number S5145 on the plate. &#x27;9&#x27; means Canadian built and the &#x27;5&#x27; is for 5 speed i.e. overdrive. Can you please tell me the rest of the numbers on the plate.

Would appreciate a photo or two of the car if there is any chance. I have added it to the 1967 register. http://www.volvo1800-120club.com/123gtregister67.htm

<title>[RWD] [120-130] Even more 123GT identification info -posted by- EEV474</title>
<description>The type number for GTs is 133351 for LHD and 133352 for RHD. (Canadian built GTs were 133951) If the car is a 1967, that is an M, then it would be a GT since one of the &#x27;3&#x27;s in the type number denotes a B18B engine. In 1967 122S cars had the B18D engine. It is possible in 1968 type &#x27;P&#x27; for a 2 door 120 to have type number 133351(2) if it had an overdrive as original from the factory and not be a GT. But there are other bits and pieces that would make it easy to tell the difference. Hope this helps.
