[AWD] [S80] [2005] S80 horn -posted by- KYVOLVO

Not that bad, there are 3 clips on the bottom of the grille, one center, one left side, one right side, you get to them from the front..use a flashlite to get the idea, you have to push down and pull the grille to unlatch the clip..the grille will come out only about two inches..stop dont force it.there are 3 clips at the top, but you have to remove the 5 clips under the hood on the top of the grille front nose/bumper..push down the center pin just enough to remove these clips/fasteners..now you can pull the front nose forward to get to the grille top 3 clips..But i would replace the horn relay first, its quick and EZ to do, if you dont have a relay handy, swap it with one like it just for testing purpose, if the horn works fine, you know the relay is bad, buy one and dont forget to put the good relay back where you got it..

[AWD] [S80] 1999 S80 T6 Won't Unlock with key -posted by- KYVOLVO

Do you have a POD...unlock and lock using the POD...If it still fails..Remove the ECM fuse..Its under the hood in the fuse/relay box. After 5 minutes Reinstall the fuse...Now try using your POD again..However before you do any of these things..make sure all doors are close..the trunk is close and open and close the hood, with a good slam..Reason if any lock unit is not secured (locked) funny things occurs with the ECM..Now try the Key after you did the POD reset..Also open and close the sun roof and turn on your blower fan and run the speed up to hi and return to low..When you pull the ECM fuse, all the devices must be reset using these procedures..

[AWD] [S80] AC Stops Cooling In Traffic Jam -posted by- KYVOLVO

Hey Klaus, you are correct..at times when the AC failed, the cooling fan was not coming on..I got a chance to see this when it failed today, the AC stopped and moments later, the coolant began to overflow in our 98 deg. heat..i stopped the car and open the hood, and the fan was not on...volvo had an recall on 2008-2009 models for this problem..looks like i will be buying a fan module to start. or do you know of a way to bypass this keep the fan on all the time..thanks, kyvolvo..

New information on my AC issue..the clutch is rust color.(not good)..the low side pressure is 41 psi with unit running, when the cabin temp gets about 45-F, the clutch cycles on and off about every 30 seconds..does it sound like clutch replacement time..?.

When you replace a battery on the S80, there are procedures you must do when you install the new battery...Did you tell the dealer you replaced the battery ?...Dont buy anything from this guy if he knew you replaced the battery..Turn off car..Disconnect the pos + cable from the battery..leave it off for 10-15 mins..Insert the key and turn to position II, reconnect pos + cable to battery..remove key and lock and open car doors using the POD...start car, turn on blower fan only,go from slow to hi speed and back to slow to off..open n close sun roof, now turn on A/C and blower fan and drive car for about 10-20 mins..
