<title>[RWD] [120-130] Front seat webbing-back cushion -posted by- 48pop</title>
<description>Funnily enough I have the exact same seats\headrests sitting behind me here!

Should not be too different from the base....I used Pirelli webbing from an upholstery shop, pull tight around the original wire clips, clamp with mole grips then drilled and bolted through the webbing with an alum plate.....Found that if you wet the webbing where it goes around the wire clips its soo much easier to get the tension on !

Cheers

<title>[RWD] [120-130] [1965] 122 Tank Sender bad? -posted by- 48pop</title>
<description>Same needle behaviour on my Amazon when I got it. Took out the sender for a look, its very simple, float attached to a metal casing containing a wee wound board.

Comes apart by bending back a couple of tabs. 5 mins with a soldering iron soon had the sender wire reattached.

Job done.

Cheers

<title>[RWD] [120-130] [1965] Horn Button 122 -posted by- 48pop</title>
<description>I made a temp repair by connecting the wire that comes up thro the column directly to the top plate of the two rings.....lasted 6 months or so before it fell off....

Eventually sourced the correct bits and pieces from a scrapper...Feeding the wire down thro the hole was a pain...

You need to ensure that you have all of the tiny plastic insulators and c clips that hold the 2 plates together, (the ones that go flying out of the door when you are taking it all apart.........)

cheers

<title>[RWD] [120-130] MPG on 122s? -posted by- 48pop</title>
<description>I got 35 on a long freeway journey, steady pace......Since I&#x27;m in UK that was in UK gallons, which I believe are slightly larger than a US Gallon....( 1 us gallon is .83 uk gallon)

Which would make it just under 30 US mpg.....My &#x27;66 is not in optimal condition :)

Cheers

<description>Hi Bill,
Can I ask where you got your LED replacement bulbs....?

I have ocassionally run on sidelights only.....and am amazed at how many folks miss them completley...Before nest winter, I&#x27;m going to replace my sealed beam headlights with a unit that also contains the sidelight, larger surface area should be easier to see.

<title>[RWD] [120-130] Slipping clutch... -posted by- 48pop</title>
<description>Impressed at how well my Amazon started this morning given the subzero temperatures and very heavy frost here in Scotland....

However....Clutch is slipping, not too bad but I guess its not going to get any better :( Question is it likley to be wear and tear or something else...? I have a dim recollection of reading somewhere about a crank seal (?) that needs a modern replacement????

What else should I be doing while I&#x27;m in that deep? I have an OD box stashed in my shed and I&#x27;m thinking that it would be a good idea to do that at the same time.....

I have some vacation time over christmas and new year, I can make some space in my garage (for a day) and I have an engine hoist. Its it quicker\easier to pull the engine and box complete and split them on the floor?? (bearing in mind that I&#x27;ll be doing it without any assistance !).

Cheers

I did a 600 mile journey recently, my speedo is waaay out, (said 85), but my satnav said.....62mph (100kph)...it just felt right and returned 35mpg (UK)

PERFECT !

Sometimes I drive hard on the commute out of Glasgow, just to watch the amazed looks on the faces of the moderns as a 42 yearold car batters past.....Mostly I drive for comfort and enjoy the ride :)

<description>I has some very similar issues with my &#x27;66 122s. Switched the rad cap, thermostat and with some carefull refilling, I cured the problem.....

I think I had an airlock, cured by getting the front of the car as high as possible and then filling. Not had any problems since
