[AWD] [850] PO422 -posted by- Blk87

Klaus sorry for the lack of info, this is my daughters car and I'm trying to fix it while she runs around with it. So it has 93,545 miles, 2.4 turbo I changed it becuase I did a search on the code and this looked like the fix the car runs real good. I used a Bosh replacement and the car uses 87 octane. The light stayed off for a while and came back on again. I scan'd it and now I have a PO456. I reset the code and lets see if it returns. I'm going to start to change some small vaccume hoses. ??? pending

Thanks for the help guys. The leak is not coming from the top of the motor. The four seals are dry around the cams and dist. I have to check for oil cooler lines I don't think I have that option. Could this be a possible oil pump problem???? I look under the car the top of the motor is dry I look at the back of the motor on top with a mirror and it's wet from the water pump down. Thanks for yoour replys.........

[AWD] [850] BIG OIL LEAK..... -posted by- Blk87

I did a search on this and found something close. I have a big oil leak just behind the water pump. (850 2.4 5cyl.) It looks like it's slinging it around. it's not just a drip... I found in the search it could be the OIL PUMP,or the two halfs of where the head meets the block. No leak from the water pump or the timing seals both are dry... Thank for the help.........
