<title>[RWD] [200] [1983] Buying a 242 I think wanna talk me out of it? -posted by- jr142</title>
<description>Check out the wiring harness where it goes into the firewall from the engine compartment. They go bad. Had a 242 turbo and sold it (hated to) and got an email showing me the harness with the insulation falling off. But as far as 240&#x27;s go they are awesome.</description>

<description>George,
There is a 74 164 in Tacoma pull a part, I&#x27;ll go out tomorrow and see what kind of shape the S wheel is in. Was out a week ago and was shocked to see it there, nice body, good interior door panels, and perfect hood and fenders. No rust! Need anything else?

<title>[RWD] [200] Ignition switch? -posted by- jr142</title>
<description>Got in my faithful 91 240 and it didn&#x27;t start. All dash lights came on and speedo was reading up to 90!! Engine did not turn over, no noise from starter.
Radio came on and windows still worked. So all electrical options were there, but speedo was freakin out and no response from engine. Battery good. Ignition switch? Thanks for any ideas in advance

<title>[RWD] [140-160] Fuel Pump wiring warm... -posted by- jr142</title>
<description>Thanks!! The wires to the pump are broken somewhere before the pump, as when I move the harness it well stop or start working again. Going to replace those with heavier wire. Went to get some Anti Corrosive Paste at the parts store but of course it seems no one has it. Where do you get it? Thanks for your help!

<title>[RWD] [140-160] [1973] 160 Fuel Pump -posted by- jr142</title>
<description>Just wondering here if I could put a tee into the return line if that would work? Facing it to the tank before it enters it. I hate the idea of changing tanks over but it seems that would work. What do you think?
Thanks

<title>[RWD] [140-160] [1973] 160 Fuel Pump -posted by- jr142</title>
<description>I have a fuel pump from a 72 142E and was going to put on a 73 164. The pumps are different as the 72 has 3 hoses that go to it and the 73 has 2. Can I plug one? I&#x27;m asking because apparently 73 and 72 pumps are no longer available.
Thanks in advance

<title>[RWD] [140-160] Fuel Injection to Carb -posted by- jr142</title>
<description>Sorry, my bad. I have a manifold that&#x27;s made for a 2 barrell carb only. It&#x27;s all aluminium with a plate for the carb. I&#x27;m just trying to figure out what cfm carb to put on. My thinking is no worry about synching carbs, just a modern 2 barrel. Thank you for the replies, I just forgot to mention the manifold.

<title>[RWD] [140-160] [1973] No current to fuel pump -posted by- jr142</title>
<description>Well, finally got on the road with my 73 164 and it was great! Until I came to a stop light and it quit running. I had put a new fuel pump (Bosch)and I could hear it run all the time. But now there was no noise and not running. Got it home and there is no current to the fuel pump. Don&#x27;t see anything listing a fuse and changed out the pump relay and main relay with ones that I know work
from my 72 142--same part numbers. Any Ideas? Thanks in advance!!

<description>Could possibly be the RPM sensor, it&#x27;s located at the rear of the engine and connects to the top of the flywheel housing. Check to see if insulator around the wire is completely covering it.
