Yes, I guess that makes sense to rotate the nut on the pipe going away from the condenser. It's just that with couplings it's hard sometimes to tell which fitting turns and which is stationary. I believe only one of these actually turns. There are couplings on some of these ac lines that look like they consist of 2 hex fittings that both turn, when in fact one is fixed.
