[RWD] [200] 89 Windshield for 91-93 -posted by- Volvo Ed

I have a 1989 245 and I need to replace the windshield. I thought I read somewhere you could replace it with 91-93 style windshield. I tried doing a search on site but did not come up with any definitive. Is that correct?

[RWD] [200] 1989 Volvo 240/ car ran red light turned in front of me and I hit -posted by- Volvo Ed

I appreciate all the ideas and thoughts. I got a fender from the local salvage yard for $53.17 and ordered me so new e-codes from FCP Groton. The fender is gray not silver but silver is so hard to match I was just glad I found a nice a fender without rust. I will post pictures once I get it put together. My Bentley Volvo 240 Service Manual and searching the board proved invaluable. Bentley had a diagram where all the screw were for the fender so it came off without a hitch as the spot welds near turn signal were broken from the wreck.

[RWD] [200] 1989 Volvo 240/ car ran red light turned in front of me and I hit -posted by- Volvo Ed

I was involved in accident last week where the other car ran a red light and I hit her in the driver's door and then she preceded to hit another car. Everything was caught on security camera so her insurance is paying. Here is the question. They will either buy my car for $1919.54 or give the car as salvage and give me a check for $1465.57. I am able to drive except it does not have passenger blinker so if I get stopped I could get a ticket. I am thinking on just taking $1400 and trying to get parts. The adjuster told my wife that the fender alone would cost $1500. Thoughts

When I turn to the left it will automatically stop when I come back to center. When turned to the right and turn back to the center, the the blinker continues to blink. I took off the top of the column to look at the stalk assembly but . . . Can I put some electric grease, open up. Ideas?
