It seems like its not hitting on all 4 cylinders, but it does have good compression across them. So I decided I am not going to put any more time into this car other than to take parts from it that I want, and I am offering all else at great prices to anyone who can make the trip to Clifton Park, NY (just north of Albany). I would also sell the car 100% complete for $850. It shows 165kmi on the dash, has NO RUST, even has Solid floors. Perfectly Mint Leather front seats, black interior. New windshield. Nice Turbo Hydra 16" alloys with tires that have Lots of tread(selling for $250). Has the third seat that looks like it has never been opened. Lots more. I would also trade for a 140 series car, or a 122. If I do start parting out the 740 I will only ship parts that can be removed in 5 minutes or less, and figure shipping to be at least $9 min. I don't have a lot of time to strip everything, which is why I am not fixing the car to drive it. Its red, the paint is oxidized, but it would probably buff out nicely. The hood has a few light dings, the rest of the body is in excellent condition, looks original with no bodywork ever. Needs the driver side marker lens replaced(about $15), and the passenger side cargo area glass is broken, and there is tape residue around the window. I only drove the car up and down the street, but I didnt notice any problems. Headliner cloth is off. Someone put alot of money into this car trying get it running properly, unfortunately that money was spent on a mechanic who didnt know Volvos well enough to fix it. Has a new Bosch cap, and I assume a new rotor, new fuel pressure regulator, has r-134 air conditon conversion done. Windshield looks like it was just replaced, not a bit of rash on it. Dash stereo area is apart because of the needed access to the relays. I think everything is there except the radio. Supposedly the car was never driven in winter, which may be true because these cars rot away underneath here in the NE, and this car looks completely solid .This cars time as a whole car is very limited. I intend on getting rid of it before July is out. If anyone has interest in the whole car let me know ASAP. Bring a trailer, drive the Volvo on it and take it away for $600, but act fast, I am going to start hacking it apart later this week. http://www.brickboard.com/PICKNPULL/volvo/1289095/1990_740_turbo_wagon_parts_whole_trades_albany_ny.html?rss=1 Sat, 12 Jul 2008 15:56 GMT 1990 740 Turbo Wagon - parts or whole - trades - Albany, NY -posted by- Will740turbo I might be interested in ONE of the four hydras, but I know people will rarely break up a set.%0D%0A%0D%0A-Will%0A--%0A1990 740 Turbo, on its way to stock specs, maybe beyond http://www.brickboard.com/PICKNPULL/volvo/1290891/1990_740_turbo_wagon_parts_whole_trades_albany_ny.html?rss=1 Mon, 21 Jul 2008 06:39 GMT 700 M-46 Manual Transmissin pedal assy. and console shifter trim -posted by- Texas745 Pedal assembly is like new. I would prefer that large parts be picked-up rather than shipped. If there is something you may be interested in, please reply and I will see if I have it. All will be sold at very reasonable prices, and if you take the part off yourself, I'll give you a better price.%0D%0A%0D%0AThanks,%0D%0A%0D%0AAlex http://www.brickboard.com/PICKNPULL/volvo/1281666/parting_several_240s_nj.html?rss=1 Fri, 6 Jun 2008 11:48 GMT Parting Out Several Volvo 240's in NJ -posted by- twhite hi Alex,%0D%0A%0D%0AI'm needing an instrument cluster for my 86 model. I am in desperate need of these parts for my own '89, and would be willing to drive from Richmond, VA to pick them up. %0D%0A%0D%0AI'm also looking for a passenger's side fender in good condition, two tail lights that would pass inspection, the sound deadening from under the shifter boot on a manual trans and various trim pieces/fittings.%0D%0A%0D%0APlease send me an email at tsakach (shift + 2) vt.edu%0D%0A%0D%0AThanks,%0D%0ATom http://www.brickboard.com/PICKNPULL/volvo/1285639/parting_several_volvo_240s_nj.html?rss=1 Wed, 25 Jun 2008 19:42 GMT Parting Out Several Volvo 240's in NJ -posted by- stussy98ta Good Morning,%0D%0A%0D%0AI live in the Philly area and would be happy to drop by and take some parts off your hands if the prices are reasonable. I'm looking for some relatively minor and perhaps less sought after items. Most notably, i was in need of the rubber guide channels (full piece that goes all the way around the window and down inside the door panel) for both front and rear driver side windows. I'd also be interested in a couple of the rubber scrapers from the base of the windows. Might also be interested in some rear corner trim or some minor pieces from the interior. Let me know if any of these things are available, specifically the rubber guide channels and what price you might want to receive for them and i'd be interested in arranging a time to drop by and remove them from the car(s). %0D%0A%0D%0ALastly, there wouldn't happen to be a set of Corona wheels in decent condition on any of these, would there?%0D%0A%0D%0A%0D%0AThanks,%0D%0ADave http://www.brickboard.com/PICKNPULL/volvo/1285569/parting_several_volvo_240s_nj.html?rss=1 Wed, 25 Jun 2008 15:15 GMT SCAM ALERT!!
