As you'd expect for an older vehicle, it does have some minor stone chips on the front end, and also behind the rear wheels. The leather is generally in good condition. The driver's seat bottom is pulling away from the seat control module. Passenger seat is in great shape. Rear bench is the worst part in the car, as there was a (poorly) repaired rip on the left rear seat bottom. The repair is functional in that the rip has been fixed . . . the repair certainly isn't cosmetic. The seat bottoms, however, are easily acquired and replaced should the new owner wish to do so. I've noticed that it only does it when the car has sat undriven for a few days (i.e. long weekend). That said, I'm including a brand new speed sensor with the vehicle. The rear-end has to be dropped in order to get the one-piece driveshaft out -- I checked all the speed sensor wiring and it is in great shape. I've been holding on to the new speed sensor waiting until the current one dies -- I don't like dropping the rear-end unnecessarily. %0D%0A%0D%0A-Alignment: I had the vehicle aligned when I had the tires installed in March '09. Whoever did the alignment had the steering wheel off-center, and my training schedule didn't allow me to take the car back to get it fixed within the &quot;warranty period." Damage to drivers front quarter and pass rear quarter. Runs great. I've put 45K miles on it in the 5 years I've had it. Driven every day. Did the T belt at 170k. The entire drive train is perfect. I always thought the suspension was pretty good...until I test drove the one I just bought. Yes, 100K extra miles will make a suspension feel 'softer'. Go figure. The car doesn't wander. It's just not as tight as it could be. Black leather seats are better than average for their age. Carpets are quite nice, I took them all out this summer and power washed them. Good glass but windshield does have a very small but stable chip(3 yrs old now and has not grown.) Cold A/C, all the doors are solid. Good inside door panels, except for drivers side. Front right and rear left fenders are healthy. Car is silver colored. Write with your needs. I'll get pics together in a day or two. It is easy and cheap to maintain, and being a B230FT 4 cylinder Turbo model, it has legendary Volvo 700/red block engine reliability. In November 2007 I drove it 3000 miles to Las Vegas and back, and it has seen regular but mild use since. I bought this car in May 2007 as a &#226;&#128;&#156;rolling restoration&#226;&#128;&#157; project, but it currently has no urgent issues and can be driven anywhere. I have the Volvo dealer inspection report from 2007 (soon after I got it) suggesting some maintenance items which have since been done. In the last 10k miles / 2 years, the following maintenance has been done:%0D%0A%0D%0A-%09New AW71 gearbox (professionally installed by AAMCO, Las Vegas NV; have invoice)%0D%0A-%09All new cooling and heating hoses (including the metal turbo pipes) and heater valve%0D%0A-%09Fuel injectors professionally cleaned (Cruzin performance); Bougicord OEM spark plug wires, NGK plugs, new distributor rotor & cap, air filter%0D%0A-%09New brake rotors and pads, front and rear; rear calipers rebuilt with Volvo OEM kit; new rear e-brake shoes%0D%0A-%09Mobil 1 synthetic oil and Mann filter changes every 6 months (summer/winter schedule)%0D%0A-%09Throttle body cleaned, gasket replaced%0D%0A-%09Tailgate struts replaced%0D%0A-%09New Michelin Primacy tires (x4, 50k miles warranty; less than 5k on them)%0D%0A%0D%0AThe body is straight, solid and shiny, with no rust in the usual problem spots (rear window drains, underbody seams; this has been confirmed both by the dealer report and by local Volvo specialists Glasgow Automotive). However, there are three small, inconsequential rust spots (1) below the front headlights (a previous owner used covers that trapped water there), (2) right by the engine air vent, and (3) on the inside of the A-post. There are some chips in the clearcoat on the tailgate, and there are a few small dents from a hailstorm.%0D%0A%0D%0AThe engine has 217k on it and is as strong as when new. Like all Turbos it uses some oil (a thin film forms inside the air intake) and as pointed out in the dealer report, there is a small oil leak in the lines to and from the intercooler. It uses about a quart per 1500 miles, but there is no blue smoke, oil in the coolant, or anything nasty like that. There is some &#226;&#128;&#152;piston slap&#226;&#128;&#153; and mild seeping between the head and block between cylinders 2 and 3. The power steering pump screeches when starting up in cold weather but works fine once warmed up. The rubber &#226;&#128;&#156;belly pan&#226;&#128;&#157; has been missing since a few weeks ago, but the car comes with a heavy duty replacement pan from IPD.%0D%0A%0D%0AThe interior has the usual 780 issues: some small cracks in the dash (not very noticeable), the drivers&#226;&#128;&#153; side inside door panel is starting to separate, and the drivers seat has a split seam. The power seat motors all work, but for some reason the wire that supplies the power from the fusebox to the drivers side control is broken. The seat heaters do not work. Power windows, mirrors, and everything important works fine. Cruise control does not work.%0D%0A%0D%0AI want this car to go to a Volvo enthusiast like myself, which is why I have attempted to describe its condition as fairly as possible. Otherwise, the car runs strong and is well optioned with heated leather seats (no they don't work), M46 gearbox, cruise control, big tach/small clock (no the clock doesn't work). It had air conditioning but I pulled all that out to save weight because it didn't work anyway and I don't need it here in the mountains, and no, I have not bypassed the belt for the power steering pump-just drove without it. I have maintained it myself with items in the last two years such as; all front bushings replaced, struts/shocks, u-joints,heater hoses, water pump, adjustable voltage regulator, BRAND NEW TIRES-MICHELIN X-ICE STUDLESS SNOWS ALL WITH LESS THAN 300 MILES-WORTH $400-mounted on factory aluminum spoke wheels with two extra matching wheels! new radiator at 250k, does not leak or burn any oil! I am second owner, bought exactly four years ago. First (previous) owner had ALL scheduled maintenance done by dealer or by Nick's Volvo in Denver and gave me a fat file of receipts to prove it. I have regularly changed the oil using Mobil One only. Interior is black leather in OK condition and exterior is silver with some dents and some rust. She will cruise all day and I regularly get 27 mpg on every tank of fuel. She would be a good project for someone to repair and drive or she has many good parts(even just those tires alone are worth the price, and then there's that wonderful M46) some of which have not even been installed yet (new intake hose, salvaged ECU, air box thermostat...)
