Replaced timing cover and front oil seal with a neoprene unit. Valve lash was been set to Volvo spec during the last oil change. All starter/battery wiring was replaced with new cable and termination. No Squealing and have a confident feel.%0D%0A%0D%0AInterior had been redone just before I purchased the car. It does not match stock, but it does look period correct. All dash gauges work, but the clock (I have never actually seen a Smiths clock that works...). I replaced the redundant oil temperature gauge with a volt meter when the charging system was updated. Interior is in good condition.%0D%0A%0D%0ABody is in overall good shape. A few dinks and scratches. No major dents. Car has never been in a collision. All glass is in good shape. Has a brand new Volvo OEM windshield. No major issues with the trim. Missing a bit on the rain channel above the passenger door. Most people never notice.%0D%0A%0D%0A<b>The Bad</b>%0D%0AEngine drips about as much oil as you'd expect for a 30 year old sports car. Does not appear to burn oil. Someone took out the radio in the past and left a big hole where that goes (have a spare...). The simulated wood grain vinyl is starting to peel away. I ended up pulling off the top dashmat to the steel. Which actually does not look bad. I have a spare dash which will be included with the car. I also have a plastic dash cover for the top which will be included.%0D%0A%0D%0ASuspension is functional, but soft. New bushings and dampers would perk up the handling a good bit. Was going to replace them after getting the suspension done.%0D%0A%0D%0AA shelving unit in my garage fell onto the car earlier this year. Received some scratches and small dents from that. All relatively minor and could be fixed if the car is destined for a new paint job. The paint is in alright condition. Not great, but certainly presentable.%0D%0A%0D%0AThere is a little rust at the bottom of the doors. The floorpan and outriggers are soft, but structurally holding fine. This is pretty common in these cars and the panels are still available online if you are inclined to replace them.%0D%0A%0D%0A<b>The Ugly</b>%0D%0AFunctionally, she is sound; save for the cooling system. If it is over 80'F ambient, she tends to boil over on shut down. Temperature is fine when moving and through traffic lights. I was hoping thatrodding out the radiator would resolve the issue. A new radiator is probably the best bet. A competent radiator shop should be able to re-core the end tanks for a few hundred dollars. The repair is functional in that the rip has been fixed . . . the repair certainly isn't cosmetic. The seat bottoms, however, are easily acquired and replaced should the new owner wish to do so. I suspect the vacuum pod has a leak, so this should be a very easy fix.%0D%0A-The push button on the driver and passenger's seat belt latch is broken. This is a cosmetic failure. I've noticed that it only does it when the car has sat undriven for a few days (i.e. long weekend). That said, I'm including a brand new speed sensor with the vehicle. The rear-end has to be dropped in order to get the one-piece driveshaft out -- I checked all the speed sensor wiring and it is in great shape. I've been holding on to the new speed sensor waiting until the current one dies -- I don't like dropping the rear-end unnecessarily. %0D%0A%0D%0A-Alignment: I had the vehicle aligned when I had the tires installed in March '09. Whoever did the alignment had the steering wheel off-center, and my training schedule didn't allow me to take the car back to get it fixed within the &quot;warranty period." Had an accident and bent the drivers side control arm. It's an $80 part and my dealer parts guy says the car will probably drive straight if I change it. I'm located a hair west of Chicago. Here goes;%0D%0A%0D%0ASilver 940 non-turbo wagon, black seats, dark gray carpet, sunroof(just recently stopped working) 186K miles. Damage to drivers front quarter and pass rear quarter. Runs great. I've put 45K miles on it in the 5 years I've had it. Driven every day. Did the T belt at 170k. The entire drive train is perfect. I always thought the suspension was pretty good...until I test drove the one I just bought. Yes, 100K extra miles will make a suspension feel 'softer'. Go figure. The car doesn't wander. It's just not as tight as it could be. Black leather seats are better than average for their age. Carpets are quite nice, I took them all out this summer and power washed them. Good glass but windshield does have a very small but stable chip(3 yrs old now and has not grown.) Cold A/C, all the doors are solid. Good inside door panels, except for drivers side. Front right and rear left fenders are healthy. Car is silver colored. Write with your needs. I'll get pics together in a day or two.
