My wife's V-8 died on the way home, won't restart. Starter spins the engine real well, good oil pressure, a few coughs and sputters--sounds a little like when the old B23F air mass sensor went "toes up."
Checked fuel pump relay and associated fuses, and can hear main pump "buzz" when key first turned to "ON." Over 1/2 tank of fuel, so I'd think even if the in-tank pump broke it would still get gas to the main. Will check fuel flow and pressure later, but am suspecting the Ford MAF . . . .
Any ideas, insights, or BTDT's would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
