This may be a dumb question, but what the heck!

I have a question about V8 engine fitment in a 93 245. I'm thinking about doing a V8 conversion on this car but right now, the only fully restored V8 I have is an FE block Ford 390. Note that the rough measuring tape checks call it a maybe, but I'm curious to know if anyone has stuffed that physically big chunk of iron in the front of a 240.

I built this engine for a friend two years ago, but in the end, he couldn't pony up for it and he eventually sold the T-Bird it was intended for.

I suspect this is an "out there" question, but what the heck!
