Hydraulic clutch issue

Does anyone know if the stock Girling clutch master cylinder from a 1990 740 turbo SE is adequate (big enough) to activate a Corvette (1985) clutch slave cylinder? The fork is moving some, but the clutch does not seem to fully disengage. Do I still have air in the line? Do I need a larger master cylinder? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
