I’ve owned this car from 1995 It is a 1993 960. The problem started a month ago when the fan stopped working I checked the fuse it was blown. I then replaced the fuse it worked for a while then blew again. With the warm weather I tried the A/C no good the low-pressure switch was bad. I replaced the switch and had A/C for 10 min. I smelled something like electrical over heating wires the switch got very hot and the fuse blew for the fan. The connector has melted a little and low-pressure switch is new but no longer works.55 dollars for 10 min of cold air is time to send this car to the bone yard? I really like it but it has 120k and cant afford to go broke fixing it. Could the compressor clutch cause the blown fuses for the blower motor or can the fuse only blow because the motor or resister is faulty. I don’t have any electrical diagrams. To sum things up I have blown fuse for fan motor and a burning smell when A/C runs which also burns up the low_pressure switch.
Thanks
Tony
