Hi,

I'm looking to buy a Volvo wagon with a V8 conversion. I'm really impartial as to whether it's a 7 series or a 9. I'd prefer a Ford powerplant, and a manual transmission, but am willing to be versatile on that too. Does anyone have one for sale or know of one for sale? I'm looking to spend in the twelve thousand range at most. I'm in SC, but can travel. Let me know what y'all know about. Leave a message here, or my email is austin.mini.man@gmail.com.

Hi,

I have a 1985 740 GLE-TD conversion for sale that was professionally done..and NOT by Converse...the Car is in almost mint condition with only the A/C to connect up and a few minor things to address...Car is silver grey w/blue interior.

Chevy 350/375 H.P
700 R4 tranny w/12 clutch pack/w manual over-ride in all gears
1800/2200 stall converter
Pro Trac Posi-traction w/ 3.92 Dana 30 rear axle
16" Pro Mags-custom built..

Never drag-raced...

I have a 1991 240 w/Explorer V-8&transmission. Conversion by Converse Engineering.You don't need a stick with the ratios in the Explorer automatic.

Has Euro headlights, IPD sway bars, poly bushings all around, strut braces, 15" wheels with 205/55 G-Force T/A radials, stainless steel exhaust, cross-drilled rotors, etc.

Have you posted over on Turbobricks as well? There is a for sale section that you can look through, and also a wanted section that you could post in.

Also, let me ask a friend of mine if he still has his. Ford conversion, dark grey 740 wagon, auto. (Boston)

For 12k, you should be able to get a really nice one. Do you want a really nice one, or would you be happy with a 4k one that is basic, but in good shape?

I was kind of leaning towards a nicer one, but there aren't really enough of these around to warrant being picky. I'm either getting one of these or a V70R, hence the price target. I wouldn't mind one that needed a little work. However, I would be willing to pay the premium to find one with a manual transmission. And I'll definitely post on TurboBricks. Thanks. -Ted
