I just bought a HF tie rod wrench kit because I have an impending replacement on my 745. I must say I am really impressed.
The tool was on sale for $39 online. This is $20 less than a similar tool I rented at OReilly to do the tie rod on my wife's Lumina. I must say it's a much higher quality tool, too. The OReilly kit came with three heads versus the 7 inserts. The fit of the head on the tie rod cup was loose and the head did not stay in the wrench body. I finished the job, but it was no fun. The HF tool inserts snap into the body and are retained by ball detents. More sizes promise the ability to find a better fit.
I am not sure how well this tool would stand up to daily use in a high volume shop, but for me as a home mechanic it's definitely worth the money. I am seeing the quality of HF tools going up.
