My old 740 used to run just under 3000 when I drove 70 on the interstate. I always thought that was a touch high, but never tried to do anything about it. I never had cruise control on it.

As for the struts and shocks you'll get a lot of different opinions from the list, but as always, you mostly get what you pay for. I just replaced mine with the OEM shocks they sold on IPD--the cheapest ones. They worked fine, but the ride was never what I wanted it to be.

The 740 is a great car. Mine was used up when I got it, I put it back together and drove it for years, then I gave it away, The person I gave it to sold it for $500 and it is back on the road again. You can't keep 'em down.
