Heater won't shut off. 200

the copper spiral is for regulating the amount of heat.
the mechanism on the valve is for opening/shutting the flow to the heater core - that's the thing to work on.
You cannot service the blower motor. If it is making noise, live with it, or replace it - they're inexpensive.
The blower motor job is time consuming and not much fun.
