3 different speedometers with 3 different ratios, which to use with my new tranny? 200 1980

So I put in an M46 into my 80 245 a few years ago, and discovered that after the conversion my speedo read about 10% fast. I went through the whole issue of trying to find a different transmission speedo gear that would match the ratio of my differential, but haven't found one with the right teeth that would fit yet. Because I also don't want to replace the entire rear differential on my car, I had another idea.

I noticed my speedo has an R = .980 on the face. I'm assuming that is some sort of ratio that matches the transmission/differential combo in the car. Does that sound right? I came across two other speedos in the junkyard with R = 1.03 and R = .960. If I'm reading 10% fast with my current configuration, will either of these different ratios work? Should I move to the higher or lower number? Thanks!
