The -88 version should be fine for you. I have a 89 turbo and have not noticed any differences. I suspect the manual only goes to 88 since 89 was a transition year for the fuel injection system (LH 2.2 to LH 2.4). The turbos did not get LH 2.4 until 90 but the NAs got it in 89. They don't cover LH 2.4 but since you have a turbo and don't need it.
