Soldering in Alternator brushes 200 1993

John said it. I think only a very few good working alternators get taken apart even for preventive maintenance on the brushes. It is the faulty units we try to rebuild. I'm sure glad for a cheap source of replacement brushes.

The clip is being used to hold the brush gently against the spring.

The dirt shown here is a good reason for poor contact at the regulator ground (at the screw) and the output terminal.
