Sorry Kerry. I should re-group. Let's take this from the top.

(1) Have you performed the OBD mode 2 test described in Bentley on p 280-4. I don't recall you being clear on that one.

(2) I know you said the FP relay engages during cranking, but can you be clear about whether it continues to be pulled in throughout the duration of cranking? That goes a long way to proving the CPS is being read by the ICU.

(3) Coming from the other end, the test of the power stage may be a little more fiddly than you like, and my photos are rather busy, but it is my only idea for verifying the power stage and ignition coil as a system, dividing it from the ICU. Right now, I could easily simulate what you have and observe by simply crushing that gray shielded wire under some bracket. Follow me?
