anyone ever converted a '73-'75 164 front-end to a '69-'72? 140-160

I'm putting my '74 in the paint booth this coming week, so I took off the front bumper/grill and discovered that the front-end is stamped to the same opening as the '69 - '72 cars (Volvo put in a small support piece about an inch or two higher to create a place for the shorter grill to go for the '73 through '75 cars. I'm curious if anyone has ever retro-fitted one.

Further, does anyone have a spare front bumper, grill, and rear bumper from a '72 or earlier vehicle?
