242 GT 200

Indeed... a 142.. probably originally a 142E (fuel injection standard in US market, starting in '72)... but, the injection is gone, and a down draft Weber in it's place. I'm not fond of those carbs. SUs are much nicer for the most part.

It's also an automatic. Another strike against it.

Fairly straight looking car though, and pretty rust free... it's got it's little blemishes, but I'd say it'd be a good base for a project... for me though, a $grand is too much. For somebody looking for a decent 142 shell, it'd probably be a real good base to start with.

The last 140 series rust free untouched base that I got, came to me for the sum of '$please get it off my property'...

140s are fun cars compared to 240s, but.. they don't hold up nearly as well in the long run.
