Blower Motor / Resistor Buzzing 200 1977

I got my new 242! What a car. Couple issues. Looks like engine coolant temperature runs about 3/4 up the gauge consistently. Is this normal? I'm used to my 90's Volvos running right at halfway pretty much consistently, even with a jumpered comp board. Number two, blower motor / resistor / switch is making a consistent and non-stop buzzing sound. Doesn't blow. PO indicated it worked but the switch was faulty - he was prolly going to fix it. I'm thinking I'll have to do a full on replacement - my favorite. My last blower on a 86 from FCP was a direct fit. Will I have any issues replacing a 77 blower motor with the standard FCP fare? Any thoughts on the blower / engine temp issues would be greatly appreciated.
