Advice re/ new-to-me 1992 240GL 200 1992

Art,

Thanks for taking the time to help me out. I spent a couple quality hours out in the garage today removing the manifold. Well, ALMOST... it went really well, but that dang nut near the firewall fell out of my socket despite the tape I had wedged in there. I saw where it fell.. right on the little shelf immediately below the stud, but I fumbled it w/ a long pair of needlenoses. I'm certain it didn't fall into any holes; the exposed ones are all above the last level of the nut so it'll turn up once I get the manifold out of the way.

Thanks for the tip about not having to remove the fuel line. That was the only reason the manifold is still on the car; I can't get the fuel fitting nut to move, so I'm giving it an overnight soak. The manifold, throttle body, hoses, and all the stuff back in there is all pretty gross and oil soaked, so I'd like to get the manifold removed completely from the car to do a good and thorough cleaning.

Thanks again!

Barry
