We didn't have time to sort out the car properly before the 2008 running of the event, and they ran into some mechanical bugs, finishing third of nine cars in the Historico A+ class -- consider that a beta test. This year it's going better (hope I'm not jinxing them by saying that -- still two more days to go). They qualified first in class and 11th overall of 102 cars, no mean feat for a four-cylinder Volvo. Video of the qualifying run Video of a speed stage There have been major problems with the timing and scoring system (new this year), so no one quite knows the standings -- hope there's enough of a paper trail to reconstruct what really went on, or the officials are going to have an awful lot of irate teams on their hands...
