I would check the wiring at the speaker to see if was broken or disconnected. There is a chance the wiring is broken at the door hinge, but that is less likely. Heres a wiring diagram. It covers everything, including the radio circuits (page 12). http://pliki.mojevolvo.pl/schematy/volvo_240__1988.pdf The diagram is from Mitchell and its in English.
