Fuel pump swap? 900 1993

I've got a Regina system 93 940 with a failed intank pump. I've also got several other Bosch system vehicles with the dual fuel pump systems and plenty of spare pumps for those. Has anyone converted the Regina single pump system back to a two pump system? My reasoning is strictly economic; I don't want to spend the $150+ on a new intank pump with all of the other parts that I have laying idle.

Regards,
