Hi folks,
Fixed the problem. Was able to fab a bracket similar to the one the dealer had on his parts fiche but still ran into where to mount to the block. Removed the belts from the pulley to let the alt. hang free from the lower bolt and noticed a newly discovered (!!) bolt hole behind the ear of the alternator. The 8mm bolt indicated by the dealer worked great. Now just need to return the too-short belts so I can finish mounting it. Thanks for all the help.
