Hi Bruce.
Actually, the thing I referred to wasn't on the throttle body (that is, if you meant that literally).
In particularl, it was a small, plastic device that, per the instructions that came with it, was to be installed on the firewall, spliced into a vacuum hose (I can't remember which) on the B21F of an '80. It also needed power from splicing into the wire energizing the A/C compressor's clutch.
It was from a TSB campaign to address complaints of customers that their idle was poor when they put on the A/C.
