I was not sure of the 6/30 ruling if it applied to all registered vehicles or new cars. There is nothing on the DMV web site to confirm. When you note pre '95 get the "high idle test" does that mean that the DMV still uses the exhaust sniffer and revs the engine in neutral-stationary park? I wonder if a "no load" non dyno test is easier to pass than a Dyno "loaded" test? Thanks for the update as I will tweak as best as I can by a complete tune up, filter changes, throttle body cleaning, oil/filt change, and check for vac leaks. Hopefully, I will pass as noted I only sqeaked by and passed in July '07 by 1ppm NOX. All other readings were well within the limits. That is after a new CAT and O2 sensor.
