Tale of 2 coolant leaks 200 1989

i am never inclined to use sealant on cooling leaks if you have any doubt about the quality of the metal you need to seal.

thermostat housings are easy enough to find in junkyard and not costly to buy new, so why harbor doubts?

have you looked with a mirror at the weep hole underside normally on your water pump.......just in back underside of the fan?

they have been known to leak like a sieve from worn bearings and no where else. you could easily lose a gallon out of that tiny hole and the fan would disperse it.

clean up your splash pan well and reinstall then look for tell tale signs
