Looking at the engine I'd look at the engine mount (things to lower the price with), coolant seepage like around water pump or old hoses, service records that don't include a timing belt change for the past 5 years, old battery, tires ect... Anything you can pile on for a reason to pay less since most owners just get by with the least amount of maintenance. Of coarse if there is no rust with a good interior you could always hit on engine harness issue and that anything older than an 86 is going to be old school volvo without the B230f.
