You might be thinking of a Corolla. The original poster is looking for a modern car (model year 2000+). I believe all modern cars have interference engines. If you change the timing belt on time in a Toyota (or a 850/V70 for that matter) you are all set..... I hate to say it, but it is tough to beat a Toyota or Honda for reliability.
