I agree you should clean up the 25A fuse wiring. That will shut it down just as you described. So will a cracked solder joint inside the fuel injection relay. And the crank position sensor (CPS) with the old yellow band (did you know this part made the inside front cover of the '89 quick parts reference manual?).
You've already gotten this advice. What I can't for the life of me figure out, is why one of our members would give you a "thumbs down" for posting a legitimate request for advice. Some welcome from some zany wannabe moderator, I suppose. Ignore it. Maybe it will eventually go away.
