V-Belt quandry. 200

I ordered a complete full set of v-belts for Helga. They arrived, and the A/C and the power steering belts are perfect. The alternator belts were too short. They were marked 10X918. I called the seller, and was instructed to return them. They sent another set marked 10X925. These proved to be too short as well. The car is unmolested, and none of the pulleys have been changed. Did Volvo offer a different belt size that I'm not aware of, or is this one of those wierd applications that I have the only one like? I moved the alternator to the extreme limit of its travel, and could probably force the belt over the sheeves of the pulley, but it should not be this much an issue. Any ideas?
