cause for headgasket to leak oil only? 900 1992

My 93 started to leak on the right, exhaust side and I decided to fix it at about 380000km (26500 kmiles). The leak was were the oil enters the head. There was no history of overheating or other problems, just suddenly a leak developed.
When I loosened the head bolts, the one sitting exactly in this spot was noticeably looser then the rest to undo.
Since I had already bought a new gasket I changed it. Put in new valve seals, did some valve lapping and got a little moore omph at the same time.
The valve clearance needed adjustment before this exercise, but after lapping it was spot on.
Oh, and I reused the old bolts. Didn't think of measuring them at that time, but at 465000km it's still running OK without oil leaks.
