Swap '93 Volvo 240 A/C System into '83 240? 200

You would need to replace the accumulator once the system is opened. After it is all reassembled, you will have to vacuum it down to evacuate any moisture from the system. It is pretty easy to swap out the firewall plates so the holes are in the right place once you have the dash out, I think you would only have to change out the one on the passenger side.

Beyond that, consider trying to upgrade to the 93 dash as well....

I'm not sure if the outer dimensions of the fan assembly are the same, so be prepared to swap some brackets or modify a few things to make it work. Disassembling and reassembling the dash is not a walk in the park, so label all of the harnesses and vacuum lines so you know where to reattach them. One other item of concern would be that the fan has more speed positions than the 83, so plan on splicing up harnesses as well. Pull the steering wheels off to make your life easier.

Finally, this will not be a one weekend job!
