The car in question won the East African Safari Rally in 1965. The car is a Volvo works 544. There are a few period photos of the car (Volvoadventures.com) and I think one modern one with the paint scheme used in 1965. But my quest for photo is that I think I want to paint my 544 to match that one. I think all the sponsors logos and such would be neat... Any info or further details would be great. Wikipedia shows a photo of the car in stock paint in the late 80's or early 90's. The photo is from CVI and I have dropped them a note... We will see what comes of this quest...
